Take the Plunge

Come, join us!

Although you're always welcome to come to an event

whether or not you're a member of our chapter,

we'd love to have you consider joining OWSA as well.

Join a Working Group

We have several Working Groups (meaning we actually do things, not just meet about them :). Although Board members are anchor members on each, every working group is open to all chapter members. Every idea, every voice, every hand helps!

Program: This group decides on programs of various types for the year that will be of interest to members, and helps organize, through small subcommittees, the events themselves.

Tree Farmer of the Year: This group nominates candidates for Lane County Tree Farmer of the year, establishes a pipeline of candidates, and works with them to complete the nomination process. Visiting tree farms is part of the process.

Membership: This group welcomes new members and keeps track of communicating membership information to our parent organization, OSWA (Oregon Small Woodlands Association.)

Finance: This group works with the Treasurer in the development of our annual Budget and develops financial policies to present to the Board for approval and implementation.

Communications: This group manages our social media posts, our website, and letters to our members.

Seedling Sale: This group organizes and supervises our annual Seedling Sale.

We welcome any member who wants to be a part-big or small as your time allows-on any of these working groups. Contact us at oswa.lane.county@gmail.com for more info or to sign up!
